Redbook Magazine Turns to Hen House Media

Okay, the title is not misleading, but might contain a bit of hyperbole.
RedBook magazine, the February 2008 edition, asked me, what I thought was important in the way a woman looked. While the questions were varied and intense, my answers were not.
Simplicity. Its all about looking natural and looking like yourself.
I suspect this is good advice for all of us. Heck knows that I am no fashion plate, so I prefer not to be against the ropes when I answered.
I suspect that we all (male and female) want to look as good as we can. It's when catering to that look starts to take a front seat to everything else...thats when we get into trouble.
I enjoyed my encounter with RedBook. Nice people, good questions, and very respectful.

I think Cheryl Kramer used to work at Redbook. Now she's some bigwig at Marie Claire.

Actually, I have always wanted to start a Vermont-based fashion mag. Features would be along the lines of "Muck Boots Go With Everything!", "Why We're Hot for Flannel," and of course the winners of the Lenny's Rotten Jean Contest. But seriously...all of the fashion trends in the national magazines just don't apply to life and style in this state. So if anyone has some startup capital and access to a press, call me!
